Freeze +P 2K3 and Punch II 2K3 Formulas are Safe for Use with Tasers!

With the advent of electronic intramuscular devices (EID) there was a lot of attention put on testing subject control sprays (SCS) for flammability.

In March 2003 Aerko International reformulated FREEZE +P and PUNCH II introducing the 2K3 versions. This should not be big news in 2007. Unfortunately due to a combination of uniformed Taser® trainers and old information remaining on the internet many users are being told the products are not safe to use with EID’s.

THIS IS NOT TRUE!

We have never felt the need to promote our products at the expense of others but a few points need to be made.

SCS Aerosols are not 100% effective. Neither are EID’s.

SCS Aerosols are capable against multiple subjects EID’s are not.

All intermediate control force weapons including SCS, Impact weapons, EID’s should be trained and carried. No one weapon is superior in all cases.

The target for SCS aerosols is the face. Preferred target for EID’s is the back or chest. If officers have any quality of training there would be no mixing of the two systems in the same area.

A trainer who denigrates another system to promote his own is not necessarily infallible.

SCS aerosols cost $20.00 and are durable multi shot devices. EID’s cost $600.00, are an additional $20.00 per shot and are not durable. Any agency that has been using EID’s for any length of time has broken guns in the arsenal.

SCS sprays have been used as control weapons by law enforcement for over 40 years without spontaneous ignition.

Users of EID’s should use FREEZE + P 2K3 or PUNCH II 2K3 The original versions are still available because not everyone is enamored with the EID.
