Coherent Stream-A direct easily aimable flow to be shot directly to the face of the offender. The range of a streamer unit is 10-12 feet. Originally developed for CS and CS/OC blends, now also commonly used for OC products.
Note-Punch III water based OC system delivers the formula in a coherent stream. On impact the Punch III foams into tight micro bubbles which quickly burst applying the OC to the nerve endings of the face and eyes.
Cone Shaped Mist-The traditional delivery for "Pepper Sprays". A more concentrated cone than a basic aerosol, considered by many to be best for civilian application since less precise aim is necessary. Airborne particles affect respiratory systems as well as eyes and skin. Effective range is 6-8 feet.
High Volume Burst-The need for rapid delivery of a high concentration of incapacitation agent in riot control situations led to the development of Deep Freeze (and Deep Punch). Using a projection style valve for high flow rate and large capacity can make DEEP FREEZE and DEEP PUNCH the choice for officers needing to control crowds on quell disturbances.
The high flow rate valve adapted to smaller size duty belt canisters allows for mist type delivery at greater range and concentration than cone shaped mist delivery. High volume burst units have an effective range of 12-14 feet in a dense cloud making specific targeting unnecessary.
